Ordered this on a whim and The material genuinely keeps my rescue German shepherd dry. However I'd recommend sizing up — the medium was snug on my 15-pound dog who is solidly average for her breed. Quality is excellent, just order bigger. Would buy again.

Bought this as a last resort and After a genuinely heavy rain Ranger's back was damp through the coat. Works well in light to moderate rain but heavy downpours do get through. Good for most rainy days, just not a monsoon.
